SUBJECT OVERVIEW

In Stage 2 Business Innovation, students gain the essential knowledge and skills needed to be successful in the modern business world. This course emphasises practical learning through design thinking and assumption-based business planning, encouraging an innovative, human-centered approach to developing and transforming business products, services, and processes.

Students engage in activities, using design thinking to identify and solve problems. They work in an environment where taking risks is encouraged, ideas are nurtured, and learning from failure is seen as an opportunity to refine and improve. Collaborative work is a key component, as students address real-world challenges, identify customer needs, and make decisions with incomplete information.

Through this course, students tackle complex and dynamic problems, designing, testing, and communicating viable business solutions. They develop and apply critical and creative thinking skills, learning to innovate and think like designers in a business landscape characterized by change and uncertainty.
