SUBJECT OVERVIEW

Students will extend their development with creative arts practice. Students will apply arts conventions in themes or subject matter using a range of traditional visual arts, design and digital arts techniques and processes. Students will actively document their experimentation and skill development reflecting and responding to feedback. Students will be able to create and manipulate to communicate ideas and products to a specific audience. They will extend their thinking by referring to practitioners to start to develop their own personal aesthetic.

 Topics may include

  • Elements of art and design
  • The design process
  • 2D construction
  • 3D construction
  • Analysis
  • Reflection and evaluation
  • Language of visual arts

ASSESSMENT

Students are assessed against the Visual Arts and Media Arts Australian Curriculum achievement standards:

  • Folio of development
  • Practical artwork/products
  • Visual study: analysis and reflection evaluation of others and own arts practice

Students will require:

  • A4 Visual art diary
  • Students may need to purchase additional printing credit
  • USB
  • Lead and coloured pencils
  • Eraser
  • Ruler
  • 0.4 felt tip black fine liner
  • Scissors
  • Glue
