SACE Stage 1
This course has a ‘traditional’ materials focus. Students design, produce and assemble a product that employs traditional design principles, production and assembly techniques. Students may explore a range of materials while further developing their skills in the safe use of selected portable tools and fixed machines. Students develop a design folio that includes their investigation, planning, designs and costing.
Focus Of Learning
Students will incorporate various materials and methods when fabricating their projects to help them develop important skills such as project management, understanding materials and process, communication and problem solving.
Students learn from hands-on experience and develop an understanding of appropriate WHS procedures. Students maintain a folio with all of their written work, homework and graphics.
